Materials
The character shown in CSI’s promo imagery used Texture used high resolution textures from Daz3D to showcase a more realistic skin tone. The result is quite impressive considering the age of the Victoria 4 character generation.
Shaping
CSI has stated that this character is designed for Daz Studio and Daz Studio’s Victoria 4 with face morph package. They did not clarify however, what exactly the face morph package for Victoria 4 refers to. We can assume that it was Victoria 4.2 Morphs++ as this was the most widely used morph package for Victoria 4. If any users have more information on this please reach out to is.
Vulcan for V4 used a .pz2 file (poser format) with the addition of a custom D-Form (.dsb) preset. CSI stated that this provides for greater realism. The .dsb file format is a binary file used with Daz Studio, if anyone has more information on compatibility please reach out to us.

What can this model be used for
In terms of digital art, the genre this character screams science fiction! The character portrays the likeness of a vulcan star fleet member very well. The vulcan ears will also work well in fantasy art involving elves and other mythical creatures.
For video games developer this character should export well into unity or unreal engine. The victoria 4 base model has a less complicated mesh compared to newer generations of characters so this will help save resources.

Both of these characters are built on the Victoria 4 base model and are available for free from ShareCG. Additionally, in terms of likeness they both have a good resemblance to the vulcan character. The Female Vulcan Morph also does not use any other morph packages. We personally prefer the face morph of the Female Vulcan Morph and feel that it captures the characters likeness slightly more accurately.
