Daz Celebrity 3D Model

This set features a trio of characters created by the artist Jepe.  This includes two male characters (Xander and Zachary) based on David 3 and a female (Yve) based on Stephanie 3 Petite.  We have featured a number of their works on the site before and they are a great artist.  This particular character set is one of their earlier works and is currently hosted on the legacy PoserAddicts marketplace.  Please read on to learn more.

Materials

Each character includes high resolution textures that have been created from photos.  These textures have aged well and still look great.  With a little bit of tweaking of the material files, you can use some more advanced features such as Subsurface Scattering and Ambient Occlusions.  As these character are from the David 3 and Stephanie 3 Era we were pleased to see these being applied.  A lot of the features have been optimised for Poser but we were able to get good render results in Daz Studio.  The male characters have body hair options and the the female character features several makeup options.

Shaping

Yve requires Stephanie 3 Petite from Daz.  All three character have been created with a combination of custom morphs and INJ files.  The result is good and we particularly like the appearance of Yve and Zachary.

What can this model be used for

Unfortunately the artist does not list the licencing conditions for these characters on the shop page.  Given the likeness of theses 3d characters, we would recommend them for any superhero parody art or dramatic works.

Comparison to Similar Characters

We have seen newer characters that resemble Yve built for the Victoria 4 model.  You can check out a link to this character below.  The other two characters do not have a close Daz Studio competitor when it comes to likeness.  This means they are still a worthy addition to the database!

Jepe’s Movie Crew IV – Overall

This is a nice character set and two of the characters have a high level of uniqueness.  We can’t ignore the age of the characters however and must also factor in the lack of support or licencing details available on the vender site.
