This pack of 3d models includes M4 and V4 head morphs that look similar to Humphrey Bogart, Clint Eastwood Sean Connery, Edward G Robinson, Clark Gable, Alfred Hitchcock, Kirk Douglas, Steve McQueen, Two Face, Lauren Bacall and Liz Taylor.  This item is brought to us by the ShareCG artist Marieah.  Marieah doesn’t seem to have been very active on the ShareCG for a number of years, but this set of head morphs is a testimony to their skill.  Please read on to learn more.

Materials

This set of characters includes just the head morphs for Michael 4 and Victoria 4.  We found that with very little effort using only the default Michael 4 and Victoria 4 materials, it was quite easy to get good results.  This is mainly due to the fact that the head morphs are so detailed.  We found that render times was very short regardless of the textures used.  This is largely due to the fact that the Michael 4 and Victoria 4 generation have simpler geometry and texture sets than newer characters.  This means the modern horse power of our render computer had very little calculations to make! Let’s investigate the shaping further.

Shaping

As you can see from the image above, this item contains a set of 12 iconic characters.  The quality of the head morphs is fantastic.  From what we can gather, these characters were recreated by Marieah from a set of characters originally created by the poser artist “Werts”. The likeness is of particular note due to the limitations of the Michael 4 and Victoria 4 mesh.  This hasn’t proved to have been any barrier to achieving a close likeness.

We experimented with these morphs in Daz Studio.  We found that some of the thinner characters exhibited slight deformation at the back of the skull.  This was usually in areas that would be covered by hair.  This issue did not effect larger characters.  We found that this could easily be remedied with daz studio tools to pull out the affected geometry.

What can this model be used for

These characters are all perfect for parody art.  The 12 characters each speak to different genres according to the individual likeness they bare.  We tried out a few western scenes and some superhero renders!  We would love to see what you decide to use these characters for, please share your work with us!

Comparison to Similar Characters

Pretty much all of the characters featured in this set do not have a close competitor when it comes to likeness.   We have checked for comparable characters in newer generations and have been unable to find anything in the newer Genesis 3 and 8 Generations. They are all highly unique which makes this free set still of value 2022!

The uniqueness of the characters in this set makes them still retain their relevancy.  This free set could be converted to newer generations using daz plugins such as Genesis Generation X2 which would extend their lifespan for even longer.  On the negative side, some characters exhibit minor deformation at the back of the heads that may need slight modification.  Also the lack of textures is a shame for such a fantastic product.  But hey, stop complaining, its free!
